OUR STAFF

Drew Stevens, M.S., CSCS, MAT

Coach Drew Stevens is a strength and conditioning specialist with an emphasis on running, speed, agility and movement mechanics. Drew is currently engaged in the practice of Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT), which is a manual treatment/therapy that can effectively improve a muscle’s ability to function as an isolated part, and communicate back to the brain, helping improve the system’s functioning as a whole.

Drew obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees at Kansas State University, majoring in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology, and a minor in Leadership Studies.

During his time at Kansas State, Drew interned for their Strength & Conditioning staff. He worked with the rowing, volleyball, soccer, track & field, tennis, and football teams. Drew also participated and worked in some of his professor’s research labs focusing on studies involving oxygen transport in heart failure patients, as well as a grant from NASA that dealt with designing astronaut fitness specs for possible Mars missions.

Following his studies at Kansas State, Drew relocated to Denver, CO where he interned and worked for his now mentor, Loren Landow (current Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Denver Broncos). Drew gained valuable experience while gaining a new perspective on training by working with clients of all populations; Youth to elderly, professional athletes (NFL, MLB, NHL, and UFC), and “weekend warriors”.

Drew is a life-long learner and loves people. He is a member of the NSCA and holds a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.
